CHARME first in-person meeting
The first in-person interregional meeting of the CHARME project will be held in Pavia (Italy) from 10 to 12 September 2024, hosted by Comune di Pavia (lead partner) together with the University of Pavia (advisory partner).
After the official pubblic opening of the meeting with the involvement of Italian stakeholders, the European partners - Municipality of Coimbra (Portugal), Municipality of Iasi (Romania), Grand Poitiers Urban Community (France), Municipality of Turku (Finland) and Lviv Bureau of European Integration (Ukraine, discovery partner) - will have the opportunity to carry out activities of the common learning process. The program includes the thematic seminar "Digital Heritage. Challenges and opportunities from knowledge to valorization", a workshop for the first sharing of partners' good practices to start the definition of common guidelines, three study visits to the Pavia's good practices and coordination meetings.
The CHARME project adresses the topic of digitization of Cultural Heritage as a key element both in building European identity and in fostering innovation, creativity and economic growth. The digitization of Cultural Heritage is a broad action to support a variety of cultural heritage management and promotion activities, such as: restoration and conservation, planned mainenance, climate-related impact, citizens engagement - also of a non-specialist audience and of specifica targets, i.e. young people -, cultural inclusion, with focus on most disadvantaged people.
The project overall objective is to introduce the digitization of Cultural Heritage as a key element of cultural strategies in regional policies.
