New Stakeholder Meeting for Aufbauwerk Region Leipzig GmbH
The third regional stakeholder meeting in the EMBRACER project for Aufbauwerk Region Leipzig GmbH took place online on the 19th of August 2024.
After a brief round of introductions of the participants, a short presentation of the Interreg Europe project EMBRACER and its various instruments and objectives followed.
Michael Schmiedel then presented the MoLeWa project (Mobility - Leipzig in Transition) and the partners involved in the Leipzig region. MoLeWa is one of 27 networks nationwide and aims to create synergies by utilising existing structures. The focus is not only on the automotive industry, but also on companies in the tram construction sector such as the Heiterblick GmbH. A major focus of MoLeWa is on the topic of employee mobility via public transport. MoLeWa is a potential good practice and will be included in the further selection process in early September.
The upcoming international networking meetings in Vilnius (October 2024) and Leipzig (January 2025) were then discussed. The participants decided on a further exchange in an extended group of experts. This group will decide on the good practice and which experts can make a meaningful contribution to the next two international networking meetings. The further networking with colleagues from LVB and MDV was particularly welcomed by the experts from the MoLeWa network.
