Päijät-Häme 3rd stakeholder group meeting in Lahti
Päijät-Häme 3rd stakeholder group meeting in Lahti has been held with the Circular economy group of Päijät-Häme, coordinated by the Regional Council of Päijät-Häme, acting as a regional stakeholder group of the CEI BOOST project. The meeting was held at the Regional Council of Päijät-Häme premises on 6 March 2024.
CEI BOOST project partners from Päijät-Häme LAB University of Applied Sciences and Regional Council of Päijät-Häme presented learnings and experiences from the Interregional meeting from Cluj-Napoca Romania. The meeting and site visits in Cluj-Napoca covered many interesting topics, such as Romania’s circular economy strategy, waste food bank, property maintenance and monitoring systems and waste management.
The project has interregional meetings every six months. Päijät-Häme was next in line to organize the event, so the project partners informed and invited the CE group to the next Interregional meeting in September in Lahti.
At the meeting, the members of the CE group discussed regional circular economy issues. The organizations of the group’s members are running several projects promoting the circular economy and regional development. Themes such as demolition waste, reducing food waste and biowaste, carbon neutral construction, sustainable procurement were presented. Other topics of discussion were the upcoming WCEF – World Circular Economy Forum in Brussels, where Päijät-Häme had a side event with other Finnish CCRI members and Smart Cities in Smart Regions conference 2024 in Lahti.
