DAY 1

The event started at the Department of Rural Development and Environment, where partners and stakeholders gathered for a warm welcome from our host from Navarra. Attendees introduced themselves, and we heard an overview of the WEEEWaste project.

The day featured presentations of local good practices, including the Chair of Electronic Technology and the Waste Fund of Navarra. Partners from Slovenia and Germany then presented their policy instruments, which were later talked about in a panel discussion.

We also learned about the EEE-WEEE value chain in Navarra and explored the Market Analysis within the WEEEWaste project, along with details on new regulations for sustainable products.

Participants took part in a study visit to Cash Converters, a company dedicated to giving second-hand items a new life, and saw a presentation from the Netherlands called Boks_your_art, which combines art education with sustainability. The day concluded with a Steering Committee meeting, followed by another study visit to Geltoki, a community-driven non-profit project.

DAY 2

On the second day of the event, we gathered at the Commonwealth of Pamplona, where we learned about waste management in Navarra. After the presentation, we toured a mobile clean point. We then visited Traperos de Emaús, a supportive group of over 300 people dedicated to welcoming people with difficulties.

During this visit, we watched a video on circular economy and had a closer look at workshops focused on self-repair.

Participants agreed that this meeting was engaging and productive, adding that they look forward to the next meeting.
