The fourth Study Visit will be in Bystřice, Czech Republic
PROMOTER project partners and stakeholders will meet again, this time in Bystřice between the 9th and 12th of September 2024. They will learn more about the Development Strategy of Bystřice city for the period 2020 – 2030. Bystřice is, in fact, a well connected and accessible city, characterized by a modern transport infrastructure, pleasant public transport and support of non-motorized means of transport.
During the Study Visit, hosted by the Municipality (Partner 9), the participants will have the opportunity to learn more about local activities, such as the ENERBANK system - heat storage in geothermal bedrock and the Přibyšice biogas station.
The second day includes a visit to the University Centre of Energy Efficient Buildings of the CTU (UCEEB), where participants will learn about hydrogen buses used in the Central Bohemian region and the energy flexibility, efficient building management system.
Finally, one of the good practices that will be illustrated to the visiting partners and their stakeholders concerns the energy self-sufficient village of Kněžice, that use biodegradable waste materials and convert them into biogas as a renewable energy source - electricity and heat, for the needs of the municipality.
On Day3 all participants will compare notes and earmark those experiences of their utmost interest for possible replication in other regions.
