CIM-Coimbra to host Tourism4SDG Kick-off Meeting
On September 24th and 25th, 2024, Coimbra Region Intermunicipal Community (Tourism4SDG lead partner) will host the project Kick-off Meeting in Coimbra city, known for its significant history and academic community.
The Tourism4SDG Kick-off Meeting marks an important milestone for the Tourism4SDG project, which, through the next four years, aims to enhance tourism policy instruments, ensuring they fully align with the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 12.b.
During the event’s first day, the project partners from the 10 European regions involved in Tourism4SDG will establish the basis for the interregional learning process and develop strategies to achieve the project’s objectives. On the final day, key regional tourism stakeholders will attend the event, some as speakers, on the topic of “Implementing and measuring sustainable tourism”. The event will also feature the first Good Practice Committee meeting of Tourism4SDG, that will focus on measuring sustainable tourism.
