Greener, cleaner, and more sustainable - this is how the most important goals in tourism development in Nyíregyháza were formulated. In order for the city to get to know the strategies of other localities, to jointly prepare projects with them and of course to find the appropriate resources, the Municipality of Nyíregyháza has joined the Interreg Europe project Tourism4SDG - Improving the effectiveness of tourism policy instruments for sustainable development, within the Interreg Europe Program with the support of the European Union.

10 European partners work together in the initiative, all of them aim to increase the sustainability of tourism at the level of the participating cities and regions. In the framework of the project, the partners also work together to modernize and develop their local tourism strategies in line with the UN's sustainable development goals. With this, they aimed to create sustainable tourism in the long term. On Tuesday morning, the details of the project were presented at the town hall, which revealed that experts are looking for more effective solutions.
