Green Tech Summer 2024

The Green Tech Valley is located in the south of Austria and embodies a concentrated innovative force in solar energy, biomass, hydro-electric power and recycling systems. Within the Valley, around 300 companies and research institutions are shaping the green solutions of the future.

As in previous years, the Green Tech Valley Cluster relaunches the Green Tech Summer in 2024  agian. In this realm, the entrepreneurs are called neo-entrepreneurs with sustainable and innovative ideas. This year, eight neo-entrepreneurs attend the Green Tech Summer. Amongst them are technolgies for sustainability reporting, sustainable food ideas, renewable energy applications and recycling projects. They will get a nine week training at different spots all over Austria. Thirteen workshops are planed in Styria,  one in Carinthia and seven online meetings. All workshops will be held in English. The training includes business and innovation lessons.

The aws IP department will be an essential part of the Green Tech Summer. IP coaches will guide the trainess through the IP demand matrix. The IP demand matrix is an analysing tool which breaks the entrpreneur’s innovation down to its single components. The single components will be regarded according to their innovation value. As a result, the entrepreneurs know which parts of their innovation should be protected with an intellectual property right. The IP demand matrix is one of the mandatory task that the trainees have to cover to get the funding that is ditributed at the end of the Green Tech Summer. The Green Tech Valley Cluster will grant € 3,500 for a single entrepreneur. A team of two to three people will receive € 6,000 (including travel costs). At the end of the Green Tech Summer, the neo-entrepreneurs should be trained to fund their own company to tackle our sustainability challenges.
