Hungarian Cluster Strategy – Strategy of Cooperation
Under the Hungarian EDIOP programme clusters play a huge role to transform the economic environment, and to accelerate the governmental purposes such as sustainability, green and digital transformation.
During the second workshop of the European Project ACCELERATE GDT on July 20-21 project partners presented their good practices, which they are utilizing to address the challenges of the green and digital transformation - the Prime Minister's Office showcased the Hungarian Cluster Strategy.
The Hungarian Cluster Strategy aims to help clusters, thus SMEs to transform their enterprises in a way that can be beneficial both from the government and from the Corporate site.
With huge focus on the green & digital transformation, the Strategy aims to transform calls provided for companies, in order to give advantage for those projects and consortiums between cluster members who has great potential for making a change in the industry. The Deputy State Secretary Responsible for Economic Development Programmes has a strong connection with the Hungarian cluster operators and management, thus they have created the Strategy together in order to give instant action for the needs of clusters and SMEs.
SME’s in clusters as part of the strategy gets indirect funds for their projects, mainly for inter-cluster projects, green and digital projects, and cluster management enterprises gets direct funds as part of the project in order to develop their functioning and operation.
There is a 350 million Ft allocated to direct funds for cluster managements, and around 2 billion Ft for indirect calls for SME’s and enterprises who are cluster members.
The strategy also aims to give direct help for cluster management with support for trainings, expos and professional meetings dedicated to certain problems, and needs.
It is a structured action plan also which concentrates also on other topics which are urgent in these days situation such as labour shortage, finances and operation of a cluster management company.
