AdCap4GoodGov just turned ONE!
That’s right – our project is officially one year old! And just like any ambitious “kid,” it’s already getting ready to grow up and do big things!
So, what have we done so far?
In this first year, our 7 project partners have been working hard – both on their own and together – focusing on:
Research, surveys, and focus groups to understand the needs of the stakeholders and beneficiaries, so we can back up our policy improvements with solid data
Setting up clear procedures for working together as a team
Hosting two interregional events – one in Bucharest and one in Viechtach – where we shared and learned from best practices in boosting administrative capacity
We’ve been super inspired by the good practices shared by our public authority partners, including:
The City of Viechtach – with its awesome approach to resilience and revitalizing the city through transforming unused spaces and involving the community
The Commune of Sadu – for its smart village vibe, automating processes and preparing for the future through digitalization
The Commune of Ciugud – with its integrated development model across education, investment, social support, sustainability, and tech
The Municipality of Temse – leading the way in digital transformation
The Region of Murcia – for creative solutions in cybersecurity for smaller municipalities and fresh approaches to generational renewal in public institutions
Oh, and don’t forget our video presentation! It’s a great way to get to know what the project is all about, and we hope it’ll inspire other public institutions to jump in and share their own experiences.

What’s next?
Our next interregional event is coming up in Belgium this September 2025, and it’ll focus on administrative capacity assessment tools – especially around digitalization and IT&C.
We’ll keep identifying good practices, sharing challenges, and working together on smart solutions so we can build better public policies and stronger communities
Stick with us – we’ll keep you posted on all the new things we learn, share, and do along the way!
