Energy community project cluster meeting

On 9 April 2024, five Interreg Europe Projects (REC4EU, Leeway, SIreNERGY, ShareRES, BIOWIND) met in the online “Energy Community Cluster meeting”, organized by the Policy Learning Platform.

The primary objective of the meeting was for each project to introduce themselves to each other, outline their primary focus areas, and identify areas where collaborative efforts could accelerate progress.

Following presentations by the project coordinators, discussions revealed potential areas of collaboration among the five projects, including application procedures, financing, equitable energy systems, citizen engagement, social acceptance, inclusivity, cooperative information sharing, and legal frameworks.

The cooperation areas occurred from the discussion will also shape the thematic priorities for future events.

Τhis meeting marked the beginning of a promising collaboration among energy projects, offering significant mutual benefits and advancement in their respective activities.
