Cultural and Creative Sectors and Industries (CCSIs) have become particularly vulnerable in the rapidly changing economic environment of the market.

The Region of Central Macedonia, as the leader of the project "CCSI4CCSI - Cultural and Creative Sectors and Industries for Collaboration, Competitiveness, Sustainability and Innovation" seeks to substantially strengthen the ecosystem of the cultural and creative sector in the region by providing all the tools and incentives for a sustainable development of the sector. The CROWDFUNDMATCH project in synergy with CCSI4CCSI can be a lever for growth by providing flexibility and support to the economic viability of CCSI enterprises.

The objectives of the CCSI4CCSI project were successfully highlighted at the 4th Regional Stakeholder Group Meeting, that was held on February 19th, in Thessaloniki, under the support of the Region of Central Macedonia, in the framework of the CROWDFUNDMATCH project, for the integration of Crowdfunding in Cultural and Creative Industries in combination with European Structural and Investment Funds.

Ms. Anthoula Nikopoulou, Project Manager by RCM for the CCSI4CCSI, in an initiative to promote synergies within the specific regional ecosystem, presented and highlighted the purpose of the project, emphasizing on the implementation of participatory crowdfunding campaigns.

This was followed by an open discussion, where participants shared experiences and financing strategies of CCSIs, while exploring the implementation of innovative financing models. Particular emphasis was placed on exploring combined financing instruments that combine participatory financing with public financing schemes.
