Standortagentur Tirol's motivation for a Circular Hub 

Circular Economy provides effective solutions to meet current challenges in climate change and resource scarcity.  

Collaboration and Innovation are key factors to successfully implement ecodesign and circular business models. 

But changing businesses alone won’t be enough. In order to achieve a transformation from linear to circular economy a shift in mindset is necessary. This includes building strong networks between economy, science, society and governmental organisations (multi helix approach). 

Circular Hubs provide a solid anchor to put these ideas in practice and consequently develop the potential of circular economy in the province of Tirol. This is why we started the Circular Hub Tirol. 

What do you want to get out of the project? 

With CHEERS4EU we have the unique possibility to connect with Circular Hubs in other European regions. Learning from each other and sharing good practices as well as challenges is a sustainable added value for the Circular Hub Tirol. Our goal is to challenge and sharpen the concept of our Circular Hub. Through study visits, pilot actions and self-assessment we develop policy recommendations, that will be considered in the regional sustainability strategy. Together with all multi helix stakeholders we aim to accelerate the transition to a circular economy and society in Tirol.
