The fourth Interregional Meeting of the CIVITEC project (Citizen and Civic Inclusion and the Digital Transformation of Public Decision-Making Processes) will take place from 12–14 June 2025 in Nièvre County, France. This three-day event will bring together project partners and stakeholders to explore regional good practices in civic engagement, participatory democracy, and digital innovation in rural governance.

Highlights include:

• Presentations on Nièvre County’s participatory democracy initiatives and digital transformation efforts.
• Field visits to local projects funded by participatory budgeting.
• A dedicated session in Lormes on small-town innovation, including the “Lormes Notebooks” and rural digital inclusion initiatives.
• Partnership meetings focused on communication, good practices, and upcoming activities.
• The final day of the meeting (June 14th) is optional and will offer participants the chance to join the Fête de la Nièvre, a local celebration recognising community initiatives, youth participation, and regional achievements in citizen engagement, featuring cultural activities, public discussions, and local showcases.

This meeting offers an opportunity to exchange knowledge, strengthen collaboration, and showcase the tangible outcomes of civic and digital engagement at local and regional levels.
