Interreg Europe funded CIVITEC project partner the Department of Equality, Social Policies, and Youth of the Provincial Council of Jaén (Spain), which oversees social services in municipalities with populations under 20,000, has organised a series of meetings with municipalities, universities, local associations and NGOs to collaborate with CIVITEC and participate as stakeholders in the project.

The Department of Equality, Social Policies, and Youth of the Provincial Council of Jaén aims to promote the use of technological tools to enhance the participation of individuals at risk of poverty or social exclusion (AROPE) in these areas.

The strategy is initially targeting areas already benefiting from the ERACIS program (Regional Andalusian Strategy for Social Cohesion and Inclusion). This program targets especially disadvantaged areas and groups at risk of social exclusion. The aim is to foster greater involvement of these individuals by working alongside representative and influential associations, thereby increasing outreach and response capabilities to the AROPE population.

All meetings have shown a positive response to collaborating with CIVITEC and participating as stakeholders in the project. This collaborative effort marks a step towards enhancing social inclusion and participation in Jaén's municipalities.
