We are excited to announce an upcoming staff exchange as part of Project CODIL, bringing together several stakeholders from our project partners LMT in France and RCSO in Finland to Ireland. This exchange aims to provide valuable insights into UNAG's innovative Good Practice: the Gaeltacht GTEIC Digital Network.
The Gaeltacht GTEIC Digital Network is an impressive initiative that has established a network of 31 digital hubs across the Gaeltacht regions. These hubs, which currently number 27 across five counties, are designed to offer high-speed broadband and dedicated workspaces that promote employment in technology, medtech, digital, and creative sectors. This holistic approach is particularly beneficial for entrepreneurs, facilitates the return of the diaspora, and creates opportunities for remote work. With the backing of various funding sources, including Údarás and government programs, the GTEIC network has successfully established over 840 workspaces, supported 130 companies, and created 441 jobs, significantly contributing to regional development and enhancing global connectivity.
The upcoming staff exchange on 29-30 January 2025, is designed to allow the stakeholders from LMT and RCSO to engage directly with UNAG's model, gaining insights and knowledge that they can leverage to implement similar practices in their own regions. We believe that this collaborative effort will pave the way for fostering growth and innovation across borders.
Stay tuned for more updates as we prepare for this exciting opportunity to exchange ideas, learn, and strengthen partnerships in our quest for digital advancement and community empowerment.
