Through strategic collaborations and active participation in various events, CORE goals of sustainability, composting, and waste management were effectively promoted. These efforts not only raised awareness but also provided practical tools and knowledge to stakeholders and the public.

Environmental Day at the Garden of Trauttmansdorff Castle (September 21, 2024)

The Autonomous Province of Bolzano participated in the "Environmental Day at the Garden" organized by the Stakeholder Garden of Trauttmansdorff Castle. A dedicated stand showcased the CORE project, offering visitors insights into the composting process and proper organic waste separation. As part of the initiative, guests received compost bags produced under the CORE project, complete with instructions for effective use. This interactive approach emphasized practical applications of composting in everyday life.

Sustainability Festival Schlanders (October 12, 2024)

On October 12, the Autonomous Province of Bolzano took part in the "Sustainability Festival Schlanders (SFS)" hosted by the Stakeholder Municipality of Schlanders. The CORE project was highlighted at a stand, where information on composting and organic waste management was provided. Similar to the Trauttmansdorff event, visitors were gifted compost bags created within the CORE project framework, encouraging sustainable practices at home.

 

Action Week Against Food Waste (November 2024)

The Autonomous Province of Bolzanos Stakeholder ASM Brixen, organized the "Action Week Against Food Waste," which featured two impactful events:

  • November 11: An information stand in the center of Brixen raised awareness about food waste prevention.
  • November 23: An open-door event at the composting facility in Schabs.This facility was previously visited during COREs Bolzano meeting, underscoring its importance in the project.

 

Presentation at the European Land and Soil Alliance (ELSA) Annual Meeting (September 26-27, 2024)

CORE was presented at a meeting of the European Land and Soil Alliance (ELSA). During a closed session with the founding committee, the CORE project was showcased, highlighting its objectives and achievements. The presentation received notable attention, with ELSA President Christian Steiner.
