Exploring On-Demand Transport: cross-border cooperation

On December 4th, 2024, a discussion on good practices and the future of on-demand transport will occur in Valladolid, Spain, where the EMBRACER will be present to provide their vision and share their experiences. The cross-border regional event will be a great opportunity to meet relevant stakeholders from the Centro Region and the neighbourhood regions of Castilla y Leon, which face similar challenges. The event, embedded in the "Cross-border Forum on Mobility”, will bring together experts and stakeholders to discuss innovative solutions for regional mobility.

The EMBRACER session will kick off at 9:00 AM with a technical visit to the Booking Centre for on-demand transport. The discussions will continue with a cross-border meeting at 11:00 AM, focusing on the potential of on-demand transport systems across borders.

Participants will explore good practices from various regions, including Centro Region, CIM Médio Tejo, CIM Região de Coimbra, CIM Viseu Dão Lafões, and Castilla y Leon. The University of Aveiro will summarise the EMBRACER project's objectives, successful case studies, and funding mechanisms in regional programs.
