On Tuesday, January 16, the ENAIBLER project partner, the Region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, together with Les Interconnectés (France), hosted an online session titled “Data and AI: The New Rules of the Game in Europe.” This session was part of the Regional Council's monthly program aimed at the community of smart territories and public administrations in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, with the goal of exploring how data and AI are reshaping the European landscape.
The main speakers, Simon Chignard, data advisor, expert, and author of the "Data and AI: The New Rules of the Game in Europe" report, and Céline Colucci, General Representative of Les Interconnectés, shared in-depth insights into the evolving regulatory frameworks governing data and artificial intelligence in Europe. They also emphasized the importance of equipping territories with the necessary tools and knowledge to navigate these changes effectively.
The "Data and AI: The New Rules of the Game in Europe" report was commissioned by Les Interconnectés, a national association representing a network of innovative territories. The report aims to help elected representatives and civil servants understand the recent EU regulations in these areas.
With over 30 participants in attendance, the session provided a valuable opportunity to dive deep into the new “rules of the game” and how they affect innovative territories. Discussions highlighted the opportunities and challenges presented by these advancements, offering practical strategies for leveraging AI responsibly and collaboratively.
