ENAIBLER partners at the European Week of Regions and Cities
Last week, some ENAIBLER partners travel'ed to Brussels to take part in the European Week of Regions and Cities. Over three days, Région Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, represented by Vice-President Patrick Molinoz and project partners Sophie Valdenaire-Ratto and Vanda Turczi joined important meetings and discussions focused on artificial intelligence (AI) and innovation.
One key meeting was with DG Connect, where they discussed the new AI Office and how the AI Act will be put into action. This is important for shaping the future of AI in Europe.
The Région Bourgogne-Franche-Comté team also visited FARI, an institute that works on using AI for the common good. FARI is doing great work in innovation and training, and the visit helped explore ways to collaborate on community-focused AI solutions.
In addition, the Région Bourgogne-Franche-Comté team met with ENAIBLER project partner Marcin Staniszewski from Opolskie Centre for Economy Development. This meeting gave partners the chance to discuss AI opportunities and the ENAIBLER project. They also met with ENAIBLER Swedish partners from Umeå University, leading to more great conversations about AI.
Together with Marcin, they attended a session on "The Contribution of Local Ecosystems for Innovation in AI," which was part of the European Week events. This session gave the team useful insights into how local communities can help drive AI innovation.
Overall, the visit to Brussels was a big success. It allowed ENAIBLER partners to connect with key stakeholders and make progress on AI projects and collaborations.
