ENAIBLER project partner, the Region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, successfully organized its first online session of 2024 on January 18th.

The session featured Anthéa Serafin, an Ethics Data Use and AI Specialist from EKITIA. Established in January 2019, functions as a prefiguration association for a data economy cluster. With a membership extending beyond Occitanie, EKITIA brings together private and public companies, local authorities, academic actors, clusters, and competitiveness clusters. The association aims to construct a trustworthy, ethical, and sovereign framework that enables the sharing and cross-referencing of data while respecting the interests of individuals and data owners.

During the online session, Anthéa Serafin delved into the ethical principles crucial for the successful implementation of AI-related public projects. Her insightful presentation included the illustration of these principles through two concrete use cases, providing valuable perspectives for the 18 attendees who actively participated in the webinar.

The Regional Council's monthly program, targeted at the community of smart territories and public administrations in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, continues to drive discussions on crucial AI-related topics.

Looking ahead, the ENAIBLER project anticipates an engaging session on February 6th, with Mathieu Triclot, a philosopher from the University of Technology Belfort-Montbéliard, as the esteemed speaker. The upcoming session will explore the intriguing intersection of "Philosophy and AI: from theory to practice."

As we continue our journey to unravel the potential of AI in shaping our future, stay tuned for more information and updates on ENAIBLER's initiatives.
