The municipality of Noardeast Fryslân, located in the Dutch province of Fryslân has identified 2 (industrial) areas in Betterwirdum and Hallum that deserve investment and development for the future. These areas serve as breeding grounds for our local talent, SME's and inhabitants. The municipality of Noardeast Fryslân has set goals for the coming years to create a more sustainable and durable area.

The challenge for us is to generate and sustain sustainable energy, and to organize our communities and business to come up with solutions for a sustainable future. In order to support our local businesses and communities, we as an organization, are looking for a leading and supporting role in this process.

We are looking for likeminded regions abroad that we would like to cooperate with, and simultaneously tackle our challenges with, for a sustainable future.
