On 26 June 2023, a new coordination meeting was held between the IET and the Galician stakeholders to highlight the specific objectives of the project, which aims to design a common methodology for all partners to, among other issues, incorporate green infrastructure in land use planning as a strategic improvement in other sectoral policy instruments. In addition, the objective of revitalising trees and forests, elements that especially define Galicia, as a natural tool for mitigating and adapting to climate change and for the conservation of ecosystems, was also analysed.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the departments of the regional administration, environmental associations and representatives of the forestry sector, the biosphere reserves - Mariñas Coruñesas and Terras del Mandeo; Ribeira Sacra and Serra del Oribio and Courel, and Río Eo, Oscos and Terras de Burón - and the University of Santiago de Compostela.

All the activities to be carried out in the framework of the project, which will last four years, will be focused on trying to integrate sectoral policies to address green infrastructure in the face of climate change, its connectivity and biodiversity recovery measures.
