1st Meeting of the Walloon Stakeholders’ Group - GRANDIS
In May 2024, SPW Emploi et Formation attended the official kick-off of the GRANDIS Project in Budapest, under the Interreg Europe programme. The GRANDIS project aims to enhance the role of women entrepreneurs in the green and digital twin transition—an area where female representation remains limited.
On Tuesday, 10th September, Walloon stakeholders involved in the project gathered at the SPW Emploi et Formation offices to review the objectives and the progress achieved during the first semester. GRANDIS will begin by analysing the specific challenges and potential for women in entrepreneurial sectors undergoing the twin transition. The project will also assess existing policy solutions across partner regions.
A key highlight of the meeting was a roundtable discussion, during which stakeholders took part in an empathy map exercise. This collaborative exercise, initiated at the Budapest kick-off, was further developed at the Walloon meeting. It facilitated a deeper understanding of the obstacles women entrepreneurs face and allowed the team to start developing strategic recommendations for policy improvements.
Looking ahead, the next major milestone will take place in November when the Spanish partner will host a second project meeting in Santander, bringing together the European partners to continue advancing the project’s goals.
