The North-West Regional Development Agency (ADR Nord-Vest) hosted the first stakeholders meeting for the GreenGov project in Romania on August 12, 2024. Held online, the meeting brought together representatives from Oradea University, Zalău Municipality, Seini Municipality, the Institute for Circular Economy and Environmental Research, and the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca. The session provided an introduction to the GreenGov project, detailing its objectives, partners, involved stakeholder categories, and key concepts such as the EU taxonomy, green finance, and the "Do No Significant Harm" (DNSH) principle to promote sustainable regional governance.

Participants explored the project’s timeline, anticipated deliverables, and the planned inter-regional exchanges, expressing enthusiasm for the opportunities that GreenGov brings to strengthen green governance within the North-West Region. They acknowledged the project’s potential to support sustainable practices and expressed a commitment to active collaboration to promote green finance and capacity-building initiatives.

Moving forward, ADR Nord-Vest will involve stakeholders in upcoming activities to deepen their engagement and support the development of sustainable regional policies. As the project progresses, regular meetings will provide a platform for ongoing feedback, sharing best practices, and fostering partnerships to enhance regional governance through sustainability and green finance strategies.
