Municipality of Ringkøbing-Skjern (DK), Climate Council held

On September 27, 2024, our Danish partner Ringkøbing-Skjern organized and brought together regional stakeholders for the Council on Climate Change. 

During the meeting, the Council also received an update on the HYPERION project, in which the Municipality of Ringkøbing-Skjern, together with several European partners, is working to explore possibilities for hydrogen production and use. 

As the name implies, the Climate Change Council advises municipal policymakers on climate issues. The topics discussed at the meeting, which was attended by several potential stakeholders in the project, are those related to green energy production and the transition it wants to lead to the abandonment of fossil fuels by 2050. 

It emerged from the discussion that among the various ways to achieve this goal, hydrogen production is a key strategic factor. In this context, HYPERION, represented by Henning Donslund, presented its objectives in relation to the Council's activities and interests and the state of the art of planning.
