Stakeholder Engagement in Lviv Region - Ukraine

The Development Agency of Lviv Region has conducted many encounters with stakeholders and experts to facilitate coordination and cooperation in the area of tourism and cultural valorization, in the framework of JEWELS TOUR Interreg Europe project.
The first meeting was organized in December, with the aim of developing the cultural and tourism potential of the region, preserving its unique heritage, and creating new opportunities to attract tourists. During the meeting, we discussed how to integrate the best European practices into local projects; plans for 2025 to promote cultural landmarks in the Lviv region; cooperation between public, private, and state sectors.
In the following encounters the agency met several experts to define key directions for the initiative’s development. The topics were: Jewels Tour development – how to integrate cultural heritage into the modern tourism space; valorization of Jewish heritage – effective ways to preserve, promote, and adapt historical sites for tourists; collaboration with local communities – how to engage local residents in the project, creating added value for the region.
The discussion helped shape further steps and approaches to not only highlight the uniqueness of this heritage but also give it new meaning in a contemporary context.
The third meeting with experts and stakeholders, was focused on the development of tourist routes, improving policy instruments, and implementing digital solutions for the preservation of Jewish heritage. During this meeting, were discussed: the project’s progress through case study analysis; best policy practices and tools; new ideas for integrating Jewish cultural heritage into the European cultural space; tourism challenges and possible solutions; stakeholders initiatives.
There will be in the following weeks new opportunities and important steps for further development of these activities under the JEWELS TOUR project.
