Unveiling JEWELS TOUR Partners: "Brama Grodzka – Teatr NN"
The Osrodek “Grodzka Gate – NN Theatre” Centre is a partner of the JEWELS TOUR project, funded under the Interreg Europe programme.
It is an interdisciplinary municipal cultural institution located in the city of Lublin in Poland. In its activities, the Centre draws on the symbolic and historical significance of its residence since the Grodzka Gate used to be a passage from the Christian to the Jewish part of the city, a meeting place of various cultures, traditions and religions.
The Centre’s programme intersects art, education, research and museum work. Since the promotion of the city's cultural heritage is at the centre of the Municipality's actions, the JEWELS TOUR project will give the chance to implement the Lublin City Tourism Development Strategy and revise the tourism strategy of the city creating a high-quality tourism in Lublin, telling the story of Jewish heritage and resistance, contributing to the region's development, spreading knowledge on the richness of European cultural heritage and on the memory of the victims of the Holocaust. It will also represent a way to counteracting xenophobia, anti-Semitic and racist attitudes.
Moreover, participation in the project will increase the competencies of the staff involved, generating a benefit to civil society.
