The Tourism Development Bureau of the Municipality of Lublin is partner of the JEWELS TOUR project, funded under the Interreg Europe programme, which aims at improving institutional policy instruments to promote the optimal valorization of the Jewish Cultural Heritage.

The historical city of Lublin, situated 170 kilometers from Warsaw in eastern Poland, has always been a multicultural city. Poles, Ruthenians, Jews, Germans, Scots, Italians, French, Hungarians and Armenians were drawn here. Traces of multiculturalism can still be seen on the streets of the city.
The activities carried out by the municipality are intended to arouse the interest and deepen the knowledge of tourists and inhabitants of the city about its rich heritage, with particular emphasis on the history of the presence of a strong Jewish community in Lublin and its impact on the history of the city in the form of innovative tourism products.

The implementation of the project will be of great importance for the new Tourism Development Strategy Lublin 2030 that is being prepared. In fact, the solutions developed will be included in the action plan. Then, the project will promote the profile of Lublin as one of the most important centres of Jewish cultural heritage in Europe.
