The Regional Council of Durrës from Albania and the Regional Economic Development Agency for Šumadija and Pomoravlje from Serbia are joining the LOTTI project as discovery partners. Their participation will enrich and broaden LOTTI's collaborative efforts, enhancing the interregional learning experience.

The Regional Council of Durrës, which oversees the municipalities of Durrës, Krujë, and Shijak, strong background in promoting a sustainable economy and fostering innovation. The Council is dedicated to advancing regional innovation by adopting new technologies and processes, with a focus on boosting the competitiveness of SMEs. Leveraging its extensive experience in managing EU projects, the Council will actively contribute to knowledge sharing and the exchange of best practices. Although the Council is not directly focused on a specific policy instrument, it will establish a local stakeholders' group to integrate and disseminate project findings, thereby supporting LOTTI's goals of fostering cross-border collaboration and enhancing regional innovation capacity.

The Regional Economic Development Agency for Šumadija and Pomoravlje, a key player in Serbia's industrial and agricultural sectors, will focus on transfering experiences and good practice examples from project policy partners. The Agency will explore and implement cutting-edge practices and methodologies, actively participating in knowledge transfer activities. It will establish a local stakeholders’ group within the Šumadija and Pomoravlje regions, involving key industrial and economic actors to ensure that best practices are effectively disseminated at a regional level.

Both the Regional Council of Durrës and the Regional Economic Development Agency for Šumadija and Pomoravlje share the LOTTI project’s commitment to sustainable development and innovation. Their collaboration will benefit their respective regions and support the broader goals of the LOTTI project, which focus on industrial transition and local identity in European regions that are traditionally dependent on industry.

We are thrilled to welcome these new discovery partners and look forward to their contributions to the LOTTI project. Their involvement will help ensure that the project effectively addresses the diverse needs and challenges of European regions.
