Stakeholders from Puglia Region met recently for their 2nd Stakeholder Meeting where they aim to support sustainable transitions in specific territories. They presented four Good Practice proposals, analysing each for regional support, community involvement, and economic impact.

The actors involved confirmed their strong interest in working together and supporting the just and sustainable transition processes in these territories, trying to enhance bottom-up planning interventions, co-planning; the connection and integration between ongoing regional initiatives and completed projects to capitalize on resources, knowledge and experience acquired; the public-private partnership; some strategic sectors identified in the regional S3 such as biotechnologies, the cultural industry and the culture of the sea, inclusive and creative digital communities, zero-impact energy and environmental systems.

The participants shared 4 Good Practice (GP)proposals:

  1. Taranto Futuro Prossimo (proposed by ASSET)

  1. Palazzo Guerrieri (proposed by TheQube)

  1. Oasi del Cillarese (proposed by Confartigianato Imprese Puglia)

  1. InnoTipico (poposed by InnovaPuglia)

The entire group analysed the Good Practice (GP) proposals to broaden the information and consider elements of clarification and more details.

The Stakeholder Group considered for each practice identified:

 to verify possible links to regional measures/interventions to support (and finance) initiatives related to the practice;

 to analytically consider the methods of involvement of local communities and their participation to evaluate impact and effectiveness of the practice;

 to highlight for each GP the economic-productive sector (related to the strategic ones defined by S3 Smart Puglia 2030) connected to a process of just and sustainable industrial transition.

The four proposals were considered valid for sharing with the LOTTI project partnership during the LIM of April 2024. To this end, the Stakeholder Group agreed to:

• open a GDrive folder for quicker access and wider sharing of information relating to GPs and the LOTTI Project

• to finalize the GP presentation-sheet/template in March 2024.

It was also suggested:

- to involve in the next meeting in the presence of the Stakeholder Group the actors who followed and coordinated the interventions covered by the GPs to encourage in-depth analysis of the same and the sharing of results and critical issues and possible follow-ups.

- to explore the feasibility of connecting a synthetic network analysis to each of the GPs to better evaluate their impact;

- to verify through desk research the existence of practices outside the Apulian territory that are consistent with those identified and can constitute a potential for "transfer" to be linked to that of the analysis of the GPs of the project partners.
