On Wednesday, 18 September 2024, regional stakeholders gathered for a meeting organised under the LOTTI (Local Identity Driving Traditional Industry Transition) project, which aims to create tools that support policies for the inclusion of local communities in transformation processes. The event took place at the headquarters of the Central Mining Institute – National Research Institute.

The meeting brought together experts from the Network of Regional Specialised Observatories, who discussed the ongoing technological transformation in the Silesian Voivodeship. Key topics included the factors driving technological change in the region, with a particular focus on the importance of competences and the need for personnel retraining to ensure the region’s continued development amid ongoing industrial shifts.

The discussions provided valuable insights to inform future activities within projects led by the Silesian Voivodeship Self-Government, helping to guide the region’s transition towards a more sustainable and innovative future.
