A regional meeting was held on-line on February 29, 2024 by Silesia Vivodeship, within the framework of the LOTTI project, which was a great opportunity to gather the activities carried out so far in the region and consider ideas for the future.

The meeting discussed issues related to the importance of the participatory process of local communities in the economic, environmental and spatial transformations of the region, as well as building tools for the effective inclusion of residents in the development programming of the Silesian region.

The aim of the meeting was to support public authorities in implementing policies that foster sustainable and innovative transition of the region, based on the process of social participation.

Monika Ptak, Head of the Regional Innovation Strategy Unit, Regional Development and Transition Department, Marshal’s Office of the Silesian Voivodeship presented the assumptions of the LOTTI project - objectives and stages of work.

Anna Dudek, Head of the Regional Transformation Unit and Dominika Błasiak; Regional Development and Transition Department, Marshal’s Office of the Silesian Voivodeship presented the conclusions of the research under the Regional Observatory of the Transition Process (ROPT) project and the effects of cooperation with the World Bank. During the speech, they discussed the research conducted, which involved more than 1,700 stakeholders and addressed transitional challenges.

Katarzyna Modrakowska, Head of the Project Support Unit, European Social Found Department, Marshal’s Office of the Silesian Voivodeship presented the assumptions and implementation of activities within the framework of the European Funds for Transfition- local initiatives a chance to strengthen it.

The meeting was concluded with a short discussion, which helped to verify recent activities in the region, highlighted the common goals of the region and created a space to share ideas like possibility of supporting sector-oriented projects, implementing activities at the level of partnerships for best cooperation with local communities.
