1st STAKEHOLDER GROUP MEETING HELD IN SLOVENIA
The meeting was held in conjunction with the annual entrepreneurs meeting usually hosted by the DCHS, the Municipality of Litija, and the Municipality of Šmartno pri Litiji.
9 Stakeholders attended this event:
Municipality of Litija, Municipality of Šmartno pri Litiji, The Regional Development Agency Zasavje, LAG Heart of Slovenia, The Ministry of economy, tourism and sport, SID Bank, Eko Fund, Regional chamber of entrepreneurs of Litija, Slovenian Regional development Fund;
and 31 entrepreneurs, that attended the second annual entrepreneurs meeting. We were delighted by the attendance of these individuals as they represent our target audience, and their feedback was quite positive.
The DCHS presented the MICROFUTURE project to the attendees, shedding light on the policy instrument and the goals Slovenia aims to achieve through this 3 years project activities. We commenced the meeting with a comprehensive presentation on the MICROFUTURE project, highlighting the Slovenian microcredit landscape and engaging in fruitful discussions about the challenges faced.
Subsequently, each stakeholder had an opportunity to deliver their presentations to the attentive target audience. The exchange of information, proposals, and ideas were successfull, fostering new connections and laying the foundation for future collaboration. Stakeholders presented various microfinance and microcrediting options, while entrepreneurs expressed their interest in accessing more affordable and accessible microcredit.
The second part of the meeting was a workshop, which aimed to analyze and evaluate the current micro-credit ecosystem in Slovenia. It aimed to identify opportunities and proposals put forth by individual stakeholders that could be interconnected and upgraded to enhance individual policies, projects, and activities. This collaborative effort would contribute to the strengthening of the microfinance potential and its implementation within the policy instrument.
The DCHS views this event as a starting point for the project's subsequent activities.
