A significant gathering convened in a picturesque setting, bringing together a diverse array of stakeholders to delve into the intricacies of sustainable energy transition in small towns and hillside territories. The meeting, attended by experts, local government officials, stakeholders, and concerned citizens, served as a platform for comprehensive exploration into the facets of a just energy transition, community engagement, and the imperative shift towards a new energy paradigm capable of mitigating climate change and reducing reliance on fossil fuels.

Central to the deliberations was the presentation of the objectives and anticipated outcomes of the MICROFUTURE project by Marino Cavallo, the project coordinator at MCBO. Delving into the minutiae of the project's goals, the meeting aimed to chart innovative pathways for financing green energy transition measures. Discussions revolved around the utilization of microfinance, fundraising initiatives, and civic crowdfunding as mechanisms to foster sustainable energy development within small communities and neighborhoods.
