3rd STAKEHOLDER MEETING HELD IN ITALY
On June 26th, the third stakeholder meeting for the Microfuture Project was held online, gathering key participants to discuss the project's progress and future goals. The Microfuture Project is focused on enhancing public policy frameworks related to microfinance across the territories involved. It views microfinance as a viable alternative to traditional financing channels, offering new opportunities for labor market development, particularly for micro-enterprises and vulnerable populations.
A significant player in this initiative is the “Progetti d’Impresa” (“Enterprise Projects”) department of the Metropolitan City of Bologna. This department, in collaboration with other municipalities and associations in the area, provides crucial guidance and information for individuals and businesses in the early stages of their development. “Progetti d’Impresa” is specifically designed to support those looking to start a new business, as well as newly established enterprises within the metropolitan area.
The primary aim of the recent meeting was to present the Microfuture Project to the stakeholders and to highlight the tools and opportunities available in the Bologna area related to microfinance and start-ups. During the discussions, participants shared valuable insights into the current state of microfinance in the region. The meeting revealed a strong interest in the project, with significant support expressed by the stakeholders involved.
As the Microfuture Project continues to unfold, it holds the potential to significantly impact the local economy by empowering micro-enterprises and supporting the most vulnerable members of society through innovative financial solutions.
