MICROFUTURE PARTNERS GATHER IN BOLOGNA FOR FIRST F2F MEETING
Marino Cavallo, representing CMBO, welcomed participants and introduced the agenda during the kick-off meeting for the Interreg Europe's Microfuture project. The primary objective of the project is to enhance microfinance policies in participating EU countries. CMBO emphasized the importance of targeting vulnerable individuals and microfinance enterprises, while also influencing the broader European context.
The support of Yunus Foundation Italy, with its expertise in the field, further strengthens the project. CMBO plans to prepare a concise report focusing on microfinance and the social economy in Phase 1, which will serve as a valuable resource for future endeavors.
Territorial analysis was conducted by project partners from Romania, Italy, Slovenia, Sweden, and France. The first Steering Committee meeting centered around reporting requirements, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
During the sessions, experts discussed topics such as financial inclusion, the relationship between crowdfunding and microfinance, challenges faced by the English microfinance sector, and the presence of microenterprises.
The meeting marked an important step in the implementation process of the Microfuture project. Participants were encouraged to stay engaged and follow the project's progress and success as it works towards its goal of enhancing microfinance policies and promoting economic inclusivity.
