1st Stakeholder Meeting in the city of Jyväskylä
The City of Jyväskylä gathered its stakeholder group of the Interreg Europe MILEstone project for the first time in a series of two meetings during Dec 2023 (11th Dec and 15th Dec).
As a partner organization of the MILEstone project, City of Jyväskylä arranged these meetings in order to discuss the progress made so far in the project and to deliberate upon the further course of action. MILEstone project and its objectives were first briefly introduced to the stakeholder group in general, followed by a more specific discussion on how they translate into the City of Jyväskylä’s objectives. Stakeholder group was presented with a short progress report on the project activities including learnings from the first Thematic Seminar in Ascó. The discussions culminated into deciding upon a schedule for the upcoming project activities: mapping the local ecosystem and SWOT analysis based on it. The meetings were attended by representatives from Regional Center for Economic Development, Transport and Environment, Central Finland Chamber of Commerce, Regional Council of Central Finland, University of Jyväskylä, JAMK University of Applied Sciences, Gradia Jyväskylä, Wellbeing Services County of Central Finland, NGOs and other Third Sector organisations (MOVE Network) and of course City of Jyväskylä.
It was very motivating and encouraging to get together with a cross sectoral group of experts and collate their insights on promoting labour market integration of immigrants living in the region. Looking forward to more hands on work and upcoming workshops in Jan-Feb 2024.
