Stakeholder workshop Jyv

The City of Jyväskylä held its third stakeholder meeting in the form of a workshop on Feb 16th 2024. A group of 19 people from 10 different organizations gathered up to put their expertise together and map out the local ecosystem related to labour market integration of immigrants at two different levels: the Actor/Service Provider Landscape and the Service Landscape. The aim of this mapping was to carry out an extensive analysis of the present situation: services and support measures already in place, so as to identify what is missing.

This was followed by an in-depth SWOT analysis of the identified ecosystem bringing up several perspectives and points of view. The outcomes of this workshop will form an essential part of Jyväskylä’s Baseline Study leading up to elicitation of the required policy changes and forge a path towards further development of International House concept in Jyväskylä.

The workshop also brought forward some new ideas related to involving the target group in the process and sharing good practices identified in the MILEstone project. Thanking City of Jyväskylä,  Keski-Suomen ELY-Keskus, University of Jyväskylä, Jamk, University of Aplied Sciences, Keski-Suomen Yhteisöjen tuki ry, Gradia Jyväskylä, Paremmin Yhdessä ry, Keski-Suomen Kauppakamari, and Keski-Suomen TE-Palvelut for the precious collaborative work and great insights. Absolutely looking forward to more…
