The 3rd Stakeholder Meeting in Burgenlandkreis was held last September, 25th in Naumburg, the capital of the district. The Baseline Study about the labour market situation of non-EU migrants, which is the result of a cooperation by the Burgenandkreis and the IfL was presented to a total of 12 both local and regional participants from different sectos: from the public sector (Migration Agency of the BLK) to associations, companies, counseling institutions, etc.

The main topic tackled was the Baseline Study, which enabled different discussions about challenges to be aimed within the district´s administration. Furthermore, the presentation of the migrants´ perspectives about their own integration process, access to German language courses, their feeling of belonging to the disctricts´ society and their sharing of experiences regarding the counseling services animated participants to share their points of view from different perspectives.

At the end of the meeting, the next steps of MILEstone were presented, like the upcoming Peer Review visit in BLK in October, in which several of the present stakeholders are actively taking part in.
