Craiova hosted the 3rd IE, which was a great success!
The South-West Oltenia Regional Development Agency successfully hosted the third interregional event of the MonitorEE project, held on May 21-22, 2024, in Craiova, Romania. This Interreg Europe project, focused on improving energy efficiency through the implementation of smart management systems, brought together partners from six countries to discuss innovative solutions and best practices in the field.
During the event, participants were introduced to the achievements of the South-West Oltenia Region and explored successful energy efficiency projects for public buildings. A key highlight was the presentation of the Regional Energy Analysis, offering an in-depth view of the energy situation in the region.
International partners showcased innovative projects such as the Hospital SUDOE 4.0 from Spain, the EMIS system from Croatia, the application of BIM models in Finland, the CoachCopro platform from Paris, and a microgrid project in Poland. These initiatives demonstrated various effective methods for managing energy and reducing consumption in public institutions.
Study visits to local projects in Craiova and Caracal provided participants with the opportunity to observe firsthand the energy efficiency measures implemented, such as thermal rehabilitation and the use of renewable energy sources.
The event served as an excellent platform for the exchange of knowledge and best practices, emphasizing the importance of international collaboration in promoting energy efficiency and sustainability. Participants appreciated the detailed presentations and constructive discussions, contributing to the ambitious goals of the MonitorEE project.
