On 26th of April 2024 four regional authorities organised a picnic on the occasion of "Earth Day 2024". The aim of this educational event was to shape pro-environmental attitudes among children and to disseminate knowledge on the protection of the natural environment and climate change. Event organisers were: the Kielce Forestry Authority, the Forest Promotional Complex "Puszcza Świętokrzyska", the Complex of Świętokrzyskie and Nadnidziański Landscape Parks in Kielce, and the Department of Nature and Climate of the Marshal's Office of the Świętokrzyskie Region in Kielce,

During the picnic, the Marshal's Office of the Świętokrzyskie Region promoted the 'NACAO Nature-based Carbon Offsets' project, implemented under the Interreg Europe 2021-2027 programme, which seeks solutions to effectively offset carbon dioxide emissions from Green and Blue ecosystems through, among other things, the protection, restoration and development of natural areas.
