Interreg-Network-Meeting Bremen 2023

German partner Free Hanseatic City of Bremen presented NACAO and first regional project activities to audience at the Interreg-Network-Meeting. Participants included the project leaders of Interreg-Projects in Bremen and the contact points Interreg Nordwesteurope. The principal investigator of the Bremen NACAO sub-project, Dr. Jasper Meya, presented project activities resulting from the first three stakeholder meetings to strengthen carbon sinks in the policy instrument Climate Strategy 2038 of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen. This included (i) ecological measures in the river catchment area of the Kleine Wümme to improve water retention in the landscape, as well as (ii) initial conceptual considerations for the development of a Bremen sealing and unsealing register.
