Stakeholder kick-off meeting – Germany
The German partner Ministry for Environment, Climate and Science of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen hold the kick-off stakeholder meeting on nature-based climate change mitigation. Among the eighteen participants was also the Bremen State Secretary for the Environment. The focus of the kick-off meeting was on nature-based climate change mitigation measures in the rural parts of the city.
The first half of the stakeholder meeting consisted of an input presentation on nature-based climate change mitigation in context of the ongoing federal activities followed by a group discussion of appropriate measures to build a common understanding. In the second half participants worked in three thematic break-out groups on regional measures regarding (i) urban green, (ii) extensively used grasslands and (iii) streams, water retention and unsealing.
