Second stakeholder meeting of PP4, the Inter-municipal Community of Médio Tejo, took place in the 2nd of December, in Torres Novas, in the headquarters of Nersant – The Regional Enterprise Association. The meeting agenda included the presentation of the project video, the debate about ongoing activities in the second semester, and in particular the results from the 1st Interregional Policy Learning Event that took place in Sardinia between 12 and 14 of November.

Médio Tejo is a region included in the Just Transition Fund from the closing of a coal-fired power plant in Pego, Abrantes. The Autonomous Region of Sardinia approach, regarding the reuse of mining places fostering innovation, science and economic projects, was highlighted as good experiences to renovate the regional development profile.

Some other experiences presented during the event, from Sardinia and other partner regions were also discussed among the stakeholder’s representatives. NODI network, a movement with the aim to connect and empower Sardinia's human and social capital, creating an international, intergenerational, and multidisciplinary community, was considered as a good example to look for.

During the meeting there was also room for an introduction to the topic of the next semester, Entrepreneurship & business support. There were participants from five organisations: Inter-municipal Community of Médio Tejo, Nersant – The Regional Enterprise Association, IPT – The Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, Tagusvalley – Science and Technology Parc, and Centro Regional Coordination and Development Commission.
