1st Regional Stakeholder Group Meeting Organised by ANI
The meeting commenced with an opening address from Diogo Gomes Araújo, Director of Capacity Building of the National Innovation Agency, followed by a comprehensive project presentation by Beatriz Oliveira, ANI's esteemed Project Manager. The interactive session proved to be insightful, with attendees actively engaging in idea exchanges. The diverse perspectives and expertise brought to the table enriched the discussions, paving the way for potential activities the future.
One of the highlights of the meeting was the opportunity for participants to share their respective national best practices. Throughout the event, representatives from different regions showcased successful initiatives, projects, and approaches that have yielded remarkable results in their respective areas and institutions. One was the collaborative initiative developed by the Nonagon Association – Science and Technology Park of São Miguel in partnership with the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, since 2015 —Startup Weekend. This initiative consists of empowering aspiring entrepreneurs to transform their ideas into viable business models over an intensive 54-hour period. In this way, the partnership aims to give potential entrepreneurs the opportunity to learn the basics of creating Start-ups and launch successful businesses, with the support of experienced professionals.
In conclusion, the meeting provided a valuable opportunity for participants to share national best practices and engage in an open discussion, fostering collaboration and innovation in the region. The first regional stakeholder group meeting organized by ANI was a resounding success as the positive outcomes of this meeting are expected to have a lasting impact on the region's innovation landscape.
