Among the agenda items, particular emphasis was placed on the presentation of the "Preliminary Study to Support the Coordination of ENEI 2030", developed by IPPS-ISCTE, due to the relevance of the subject matter to Smart Specialization.
The CT, coordinated by ANI and comprising Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT), Agência para a Competitividade e Inovaçâo (IAPMEI), Portuguese Trade & Investment Agency (AICEP), Agência para o Desenvolvimento e Coesão (AD&C), Conferência Nacional de CTI (CNCTI), the Autonomous Regions of Madeira and the Azores, as well as the CCDR's of Norte, Centro, Lisboa AND Vale do Tejo, Alentejo, and Algarve, may also involve the participation of European Funds Managing Authorities, the Recover Portugal Mission Structure (PRR), or the Environmental Fund as observers when the nature of the subject justifies it.
The CT of ENEI 2030 is tasked with providing opinions on the proposed plan and activity reports by the CE, as well as advising and supporting it regarding thematic interventions, mechanisms of coordination with Innovation, Science, and Industrial policies, and the operationalization of territorial policies within the context of the multi-level coordination outlined in the Portugal 2030 Partnership Agreement.
