The Lp would like to discuss with local and regional authorities the following proposal:
FutUr-Is - breakthrough policies for industrial-urban symbiosis cities and regions
Objective: To amend development policies to improve resource efficiency through local/regional collaboration of industries and cities
Specific objectives:
1. To identify, study and popularise trailblazers practices of industrial-urban symbiosis
2.To shape up a transferrable model for common infrastructure systems for supplies and services, knowledge building, innovation, and marketing for effective industrial-urban symbiosis
The project will increase the authorities’ understanding of existing industrial and urban symbiosis networks and how they are established and grow. The project will also focus on interregional cooperation on Ur-Is value creation. The project will base the partnership on close collaboration within the quintuple helix and co-create a model for the sustainable symbiotic city of the future.
