Commercialisation Fund

The Commercialisation Fund aims to provide critical support for third-level researchers, fostering a conducive environment for the translation of research into innovative and commercially viable products, services, and companies.

Objectives:

The primary goal of the Commercialisation Fund is to nurture researchers through financial and soft supports, enabling them to transform their research into tangible, market-ready solutions. The initiative operates across Higher Education Institutions and non-profit Research Performing Organisations in Ireland, with the intent of facilitating new company creation or licensing of technology within the country.

Benefits for Researchers:

Researchers are set to benefit from funding, mentorship, and a range of other supports, equipping them with the skills and tools necessary for innovation and entrepreneurship. The initiative also aims to boost the rate of research and innovation spinouts, contributing to a vibrant ecosystem of cutting-edge developments.

Sequential Funding:

The Commercialisation Fund offers a two-tiered approach to funding. Researchers can access Commercialisation Feasibility Funding to validate market potential before moving on to Commercialisation Funding. This sequential approach is designed to de-risk technology through real-world development, ensuring a smoother transition from concept to application.

Call to Action:

Enterprise Ireland invites researchers to leverage this opportunity, turning their research dreams into reality. The call is open for those ready to take their innovations to the next level, making a tangible impact on the commercial landscape in Ireland.
