VIADUCT partners prepare for Tampere visit

Focusing on Business Plan Development and Management, the thematic workshops and site visits are intended to expand participant’s knowledge of impactful actions that support the move from the research results to the market.

As guests of the Council of Tampere Region, Viaduct partners and invited stakeholders shall have an extraordinary opportunity to network, build and share their knowledge, and in addition they shall be guided through the incredible innovations taking place within the city.

During the first study visit, partners shall experience a visit to Platform 6 and Startup Tampere Showcase 2024. Serving as a startup track, the showcase is designed to highlight the next generation of startups in Tampere and connect local founders with investors and industry experts.

On day two, the first study visit will see guests experience Kampusklubi, a collaboration platform for companies, students, and academics who value university collaboration and a strong innovation ecosystem. This visit shall be followed by a meeting with the Research and Innovations Services of Tampere University and a look in on a number of their current projects such as:

Monicardi, whose mission is to make “monitoring of cardiac health made simple”.

CIVIT, the Centre for Immersive Visual Technologies at Tampere University, provides first-class facilities, equipment and research expertise for professionals and students in the field of immersive visual technologies.

Crispy, a lightweight XR display technology that provides visual comfort and immersion.

Over the two-day meeting, the Viaduct partners will no doubt be inspired and motivated by what they have seen and enjoyed in Finland’s hidden gem, Tampere.
